    HERIZEN™ Sailing for Women offers trainings / certifications, courses, adventures, retreats in Canada, Baja, Mexico, Thailand, Greece, Belize, Australia the Caribbean, French Polynesia, Bahamas, many other countries and in addition private trainings aboard your boat or a chartered vessel.

    HERIZEN™Sailing & Self-Awareness Training Adventures all have sail training, self-awareness, confidence building, Yoga, meditation and other holistic practices for eco sailing.  Gaining confidence to go for what you wish to create – being a more fun and skilled ship mate or wanting to own and skipper your own boat.

    In addition, we offer Private Sessions / services for individuals or groups, on our boat, yours or a chartered vessel any where in the world. Great for teaching or refreshing specific skills such as docking, reefing, or person overboard maneuvers and recovery.     The following certifications are obtainable by taking a minimum of five days of instruction unless you have previous boating knowledge, skill and/or experience: these prices are additional to all sail training programs unless stated as CYA programs in the schedule. Can be added to all women sailing adventure programs.

    • Sail Canada:  Learn to Cruise Standards – Sail
    • Basic Crew Standard
      To be able to act as competent crew while cruising safely in familiar waters aboard a sloop-rigged keelboat of six to 10 meters in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. Includes CYA Study Guide, written exam, CYA Logbook, plus seal and registration with BC Sailing for successful candidates.
    • Basic Cruising Standard (Day Skipper – Sail)
      To be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both skipper and crew of a sloop-rigged keelboat of six to 10 metres in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. Includes CYA Study Guide, written exam, CYA Logbook, plus seal and registration with BC Sailing for successful candidates.
    • Intermediate Crew Standard (Bareboat Crew – Sail)
      To be able to act as competent crew while cruising in familiar waters aboard a sailing yacht of eight to 12 metres in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. Emphasizes on the -water skills at level acceptable for bareboat chartering. Includes CYA Study Guide, written exam, CYA Logbook, plus seal and registration with BC Sailing for successful candidates.
    • Intermediate Cruising Standard (Bareboat Skipper – Sail)
      To be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both skipper and crew of a sailing yacht of eight to 12 metres in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. Emphasizes on the -water skills at level acceptable for bareboat chartering. Includes CYA Study Guide, written exam, CYA Logbook, plus seal and registration with BC Sailing for successful candidates.
    • Advanced Cruising Standard
      To be able to act as competent crew while cruising aboard a sailing cruiser of eight to 15 metres, operating by day and night in coastal or inland water in any weather.

    • Coast Guard Card Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
      To meet the mandatory proficiency requirement of the Canadian Coast Guard to operate a pleasure craft fitted with a motor.
      Additional $65 CDN. Includes Study Guide and written exam Pleasure Craft Operator Card for successful candidates. $65 if taking an additional course. (additional tax may apply)
